The DadPad® is an app for dads-to-be and dads with new babies in Lancashire and South Cumbria and is now free to download. It is safe to recommend for new dads looking for advice and support (it also includes a large directory of available services).

 

We know that dads want important information on how to care for their new baby, and what to expect. The DadPad® can help, by giving dads the knowledge and practical skills that they need in order to give their baby the best start in life.

 

The app is free to download for everyone in Lancashire and South Cumbria.

 

DadPad® is very easy to read, factual and has many illustrations to help dads learn about baby care and also very importantly, how to support mum too. The app comes with important messages around feeding, sleeping, holding/handling and managing a crying baby including ICON messages.

 

In the first three months since the app launch, one third of all births have accessed the app. DadPad® is ORCHA approved and will soon be available in nine different languages when Dadpad 2.0 is launched.
