Every October, communities around the country come together to recognise Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a national campaign that promotes breast cancer awareness, education, screening, fundraising, and more. Breast Cancer Awareness Month is also a time to honour those who have been treated for breast cancer or are living with metastatic breast cancer.

 

The causes of breast cancer aren’t fully understood. The genes you inherit, your environment, and how you live your life all play a part in contributing to your risk of developing breast cancer.
