NHS General Practice Team Campaign

The NHS in England has launched activity to highlight the changes in the way we access help and receive care from general practices.

The aim is to raise awareness of the different staff in general practice, such as physiotherapists, paramedics, mental health practitioners, who work alongside GPs and nurses, and the role of the reception team in helping patients to get the right care, more easily, first time.

A short film highlighting the staff working in general practice has been produced to help increase people’s confidence that when they contact their GP practice, they will be directed to the right health professional to help them with their need.

The campaign is relevant to all users of general practice services, with a focus on working age adults, parents, older people and those with long-term conditions, who are more likely to make an appointment with their general practice.
